Homecoming Game Preview


​The​ ​Churchland​ ​“Truckers”​ ​will​ ​take​ ​on​ ​​ ​Booker​ ​T.​ ​Washington’s “Mighty​ ​Bookers” on​ ​Friday,​ ​September​ ​29th.

​The​ ​​Bookers​ ​are​ ​coming​ ​of​f ​a ​43-22​ ​victory​ ​over​ ​Maury​ ​High​ ​School while​ the ​Truckers​ ​are​ ​currently​ ​0-5​ ​coming​ ​off​ ​a​ ​42-0​ ​loss​ ​against​ I.C.​ ​Norcom.

Regardless, CHS players​ ​and​ ​​students​ ​have​ ​confidence​ ​going​ ​into​ ​the​ ​game​ ​against​ ​the​ ​3-2 Mighty​ ​Bookers.

​​Student​ ​Tranaisha​ ​Holloman​ ​says​,​ ​“​I’ve​ ​never​ ​seen​ ​such​ ​confidence​ ​and​ ​backing​ ​from​ ​the student​ ​body​ ​for​ ​a​ ​single​ ​game.”

Churchland​ ​has​ ​not​ ​won​ ​a​ ​game​ ​so​ ​far,​​ ​only​ ​totaling​ ​33​ ​points​ ​for​ ​the​ ​first​ ​four​ ​games​ ​and​ ​scoring​ ​no​ ​points in its fifth​ ​game​ ​against​ ​Norcom​.

Can​ ​the​ Truckers​ ​pick​ ​up​ ​a​ ​huge​ ​victory​ ​against​ ​the​ ​Bookers,​ ​or​ ​will​ ​they​ ​go​ ​to​ ​Maury 0-6?
