The last matches for Regionals were Friday, February 08, 2019 and Saturday, February 09, 2019. Five of the wrestlers placed at regionals (Charles Grant 1st at 220 lb, Darien Willis 4th at 160 lbs, Roy Coppedge 5th at 285lbs, Shane Taylor 6th at 132 lbs, and Jonathan Devine at 106 lbs). Recently, Churchland High School had its annual Powder-Puff football game. In Powder-Puff, girls and boys switch roles; girls play football and boys cheer. The game is played by the juniors and seniors.


At the start of the game, the juniors quickly scored a touchdown. It was 0-7 juniors for the first quarter. In the second quarter, the seniors fairly scored a touchdown. The score stayed 7-7 for majority of the third and fourth quarter...

Not many people know of our boys volleyball team and their success over the past few years. Our Truckers have gone to Regionals two years in a row with almost a whole new set of players in 2015. The team lost eight out those 14 players in 2016, leaving just enough for a starting line up, consisting of six players.


The team, however, gained new players, some coming out for their very first time to fill any holes they felt they had in their line-up....

Matthew McEwen, a freshman from Churchland High, recently qualified for the VHSL high school state golf tournament in Abingdon, VA.


McEwen’s two-day score of 154 was good enough for third place in the regional golf tournament at Williamsburg National Golf Club. His regional score was good enough to advance him to the state tournament, while at the same time earning him All-Region honors and a bronze medal.

Field hockey is an unnoticed sport that many know about. Field hockey is an outdoor game played by two opposing teams of eleven players. Churchland High School has an outstanding varsity field hockey team with players that are determine to give their all at every game.
