Fast X

Fast X is the 10th movie added to the globally famous Fast and Furious franchise with a star studded cast with Vin Diesel, Jason Momoa, Michelle Rodriguiez, John Cena, Tyreese Gibson, Ludacris and many more. Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his crew face a new antagonist Dante Reyes (Jason Momoa), the son of Hernan Reyes (Joaquim de Almeida) who is seeking revenge for the death of his father.

The beginning of the movie is a flashback to Fast Five when the Reyes family was robbed by the Toretto family, despite the efforts of Dante, Hernan, and all of the cops in Rio the heist is successful, the Toretto crew is rich, and Hernan Reyes is murdered, but Dante survived and is bloodthirsty for Dominic.

Now in the present day the crew has intel on a mission in Rome, but this time Roman (Tyreese Gibson) will take on the role as leader. It turns out that the mission is just a set up for the first step in Dante's plan for revenge on Dominic.

Then the rest of the plot is Dominic trying to stop Dante and Dante trying to make Dominic suffer for him killing his father and taking his family's money.

Jason Momoa did an excellent job playing Dante Reyes. He captured the dual personality of the character, Dante was insane yet he always seemed charismatic and humorous. He fit really well into the Fast and Furious saga.

The action scenes in Fast X are absolutely wild and unrealistic. They defy the laws of physics and gravity, with that being said it is fun to watch. There really wasn't a dull moment in the film. It was filled with action and keeps you on the edge of your seat.

There were some homages to Paul Walker in the movie especially in the beginning, which was definitely nice to see. His daughter, Meadow Walker also made a cameo which was a nice addition to the movie.

Fast X to me is a solid 8/10. As a fan of the franchise I like how the series keeps going but, also it's probably time to give Fast and Furious the conclusion it deserves.
